I love teaching yoga because yoga is for everyone! You don’t have to be in a super great shape or able to touch your toes to practice yoga!
I have noticed that when people are wanting to try yoga or feel drawn the those teachings , they are looking for more Health and Wellbeing . The practice of yoga and meditation are thousands of years old techniques that modern science now have validated as true.
Here’s my story:
My spiritual journey started in 2004 when I read Deepak Chopra’s book, Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire. That’s when I learned about meditation. I went to the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, California, where I received my personal mantra and started my regular meditation practice. My life quickly began to change, my business grew, my health improved. In addition to meditation, I began practicing yoga.
After that, I attended Synchrodestiny, and also Seduction of Spirit — Journey into Healing, both sponsored by the Chopra Center. On the winter solstice of 2009, my friend and Shaman, Sue Wolf, hosted a fire walk. I walked on fire for the first time! This incredible, inspiring and uplifting experience had a great effect on my spiritual journey.
In 2011 I became a certified Primordial Sound Meditation instructor through a program offered by the Chopra Center. My meditation practice grew even deeper.
That brought everything to a different level. I suddenly realized that the practice of yoga is a crucial part of quieting the mind and creating the union between mind, body and spirit. I decided to become a yoga teacher.
In February of 2012 I earned a certification to teach Integral Hatha yoga after my training at the Yogaville Ashram. I also got my spiritual name – Amrita. In Sanskrit it means “immortal, never born, never dies.” I am certified Yoga Alliance RYT 200.
In Chopra Center for Wellbeing in Carlsbad, CA I have completed all three Teacher Trainings; Primordial Sound Meditation, Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Program. I use those practices and principles in my daily life, and I am so excited to share those teachings with people.
I have founded Open Heart Yoga Center to provide a place where everyone can learn yoga, meditation and principles of Ayurveda, so they can experience more Health and Wellbeing in their lives.
It’s a place for you! Please join us.
