Ayurveda is a 5000-year-old Holistic Healing System.
In this 5 part course you will learn about your mind-body type or Dosha and how to balance it. You will learn how to select and use the most nourishing foods for your mind-body to restore Vitality, enhance nutrition, re-awaken the senses. You will be introduced to the techniques that will help with emotional clearing. Participants will also learn basic principles of meditation.

Special edition Yoga Class with Amrita Wednesday, December 20th 6pm - 7:15pm

This wonderful darker time allows us to prepare for the expansion and growth that comes in the Spring.

In this special edition class, we will focus on quieting poses and deep stretches to maintain your physical and mental flexibility. There will be a special ceremony to celebrate Winter Solstice and increase of light in upcoming days.

Most yoga styles fall into the general category of Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga is a system of yoga which dates back to Yogi Swatmarama, who lived in the 15th century in India. The aim of Hatha Yoga is to create greater balance between body and mind, to free the flow of the life force in the body, and ultimately, to prepare body and mind for more subtle spiritual experiences of meditation.

A Hatha yoga practice includes yoga asanas, yoga postures designed to improve health and remove imbalances, and Pranayama, traditional breathing exercises to help bring greater peace to the mind and the subtle body.
