Yoga for Stress Relief and Anxiety

What I love about practicing Yoga is the transformation it brings. Yoga works on many levels, as we are multidimensional Human Beings.
The nervous system is one of the levels we can actively benefit, switching our bodies out of sympathetic (Fight and Flight) response to parasympathetic (Rest and Restore) response. Ahhh!
In yoga practice, through the sequencing of tense and rest/release, we can train our bodies to shift more easily from stress to being at ease in our every day life.

Meditation is easy. If you can think and breathe, you can meditate!
Heart rate normalizes, stress hormones subside, the body starts to release the tension, our mind calms down.

Enjoy a Candlelit evening of restorative yoga.
Using blankets and props we will guide the body into deep nurturing poses.
Students may experience a release of deep muscle tension and start to dismantle holding patterns of stress in the body. As the body releases through these postures, students can begin to connect mind and body patterns.
With the release of stress and tension we live more ease-fully from their heart.

This morning practice will focus on energizing the body using breathing practices - pranayama, improving circulation with movement, improving digestion with specific yoga postures. Soul Flow with Shankari
Thursdays, 10:15 - 11:30am
Soul Flow incorporates Hatha Yoga principles and asana, while infusing Vinyasa Flow movements and breathe work. Each class will incorporate 7 sequences including centering, sun salutations, back bends, forward bends, twists, deep relaxation and meditation/pranayama. Along with the movements, positive affirmations, and soul wisdom will be shared, to enhance the student’s ability to manifest, and cultivate change in their life. This form of fun, love and power allows the yogi to create a deep connection with their true roots and soul center!
